Great News! The Gilmer Memorial Library, Texas Youth Hunting Program, and Texas Parks and Wildlife will be working together again to provide citizens of Edwards County an opportunity to complete the Hunter Education Course locally. It’s the law; every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Course. We would like to help hunters young and experienced ensure they are in compliance with the law!

Where: Gilmer Memorial Library
Date: Saturday, February 16th
Time: Basic Course- 10AM-3PM; Enhanced Course- 12AM-3PM
Cost: $15 Due Upon Registration at Library
**Class Capacity is 20 students, so please register as soon as possible!

Participants will have two course choices:
*Enhanced Course- Complete a portion of the course online. Come on the 25th for a short classroom course, skills course, and range experience.
*Basic Course- Complete the entire course in the classroom including the skills course and range.

GENERAL REGULATIONS SUMMARY:
If you were born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, and you are:
• under 9 years of age, you must be accompanied.*
• age 9 through 16, you must successfully complete a hunter education course or be accompanied.*
• age 17 and over, you must successfully complete a hunter education course;
