On this easy morning stroll, we’ll walk past beautiful Buck Lake, named for the family who donated the land for the state park, and the lesser-known Green Lake as well. We’ll keep an eye out for all kinds of wildlife and nature!

Meet: at the Acorn Bird Blind (down the path from the restrooms, between campsites 39 and 41). Parking is available at the Overflow parking lot in front of the Walk-in campground lot.

Difficulty and length: This easy trail is approximately 1.25 miles. There is one steep but short hill, and the rest of the dirt path is fairly level.

Who: Your whole family! All ages are welcome. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.

Bring: Good walking shoes and drinking water are recommended. Dress for the weather, in layers! Strollers are welcome, but might have to be unloaded for the one small hill on our hike.
